Have 4mth old Forester and about to pick up new Jayco Dove, anybody had any towing probs with this setup.

G'day Leark we have an older Coromal Magnum (980kg unladen), off road model and the Forester handles that one OK. We fitted a Hayman Reese tow bar rated 180-90 ball weight, with weight distribution hitches to maintain level towing.
We get between 6.7 & 8.3 kms to the litre, depending on towing conditions and speed of course. I'm extremely careful on the dirt, particularly with corrugations.
Having said that there aren't many Foresters among this lot, guess I'll just have to help push if we find someone in a bog, they don't have a lot of power and I keep that in mind wherever we go. Guess we should keep in touch.
