Jumped in the 4by this morning in a mad hurry, turned the key absolutely dead as." Bloody useless thing", I'm thinking, but then again its only fired up every morning without a glitch for the last five years! , so what's a battery every now and then?, Probably expect to much out of a machine at times.!

Cheers Axle.

Gotta be a warranty issue....LOL

I feel the same. My aux battery of 2 years, which spent 4 years prior as a crank battery recently decided to drop a cell and promptly blow up- 6 years IMO was a pretty good life, but I cursed all the same

Cheers

Been there and had that as well. Off doing the shopping one Saturday and came back to the car, loaded all of the shopping into the back of the car (sometimes I think I need a bigger one). By now it is just after 4:30 pm here in Perth and I turned the key to the not so sweet sound of nothing.

Now 4:30 on a Saturday is not a good time in WA to have to go searching for something as WA closes down at 5pm....LOL

Off to Superthief and found a 770 CCA battery. Just so happened to be a 20% off sale that day so I didnt complain too much.

Its just the unexpected and the fact that I wasnt able to go through my usual routine of research and price bartering that I do enjoy. Such is life.......

Cheers

Just realised my horn is not working due to dealers incompatance.....
To top it all of have to be up at 5.30 to jump the ute to go to work........ am not happy...... and it is my first day in 3 months :(

You forgot the most important part, what brand is the battery?
Surely, with a bit of effort, we can get a brand war going between battery manufacturers like Cooper and other tyres.

They just don't make em like they used to.
Just put a new deep cycle in the CT. Last one had only been there for 3 years. Before it went into the CT it was hooked up to a solar panel on a roof top without any maintenance for 3 years. It was almost dry when it came down.
I can't for the life of me, work out why it only lasted 3 years in the CT
