Most likley Codan 9323 model, very popular and still fetch $1800-2k on the used market with auto tune. At an auction they can go cheap or market value, depending on who is bidding. Plenty of parts available. Terlin Outbacker at Canning Vale, sells & services Codan.

Their have been plenty of earlier models, the 85** series was prior to the 9323 series, lot of people still use them but they are not as popular as the smaller remote head on the 9323. I'd expect a 9350 auto tune to be around $800-1k

There is a Codan HF Forum also for plenty of info here

If you don't know what you're doing then auctions can be costly.
There will probably be plenty of buyers bidding the price up because they think that they can make a quick buck from the Codan name. That's ok if they know what they are buying, but bear in mind that there were at least 15 models around those years. Some are very difficult to get bits for (assuming that you're technical enough to fix them)
The radios at the auction may be incomplete, not working or just older models.

And in case anyone is thinking of turning over a quick dollar from the brand name. check this out.

On the flip side, sometimes you can be lucky. I picked up a 9323 at a local auction earlier this year for $140. All the frequencies had been deleted, as it was a Govt unit, but after programming, the Tx and Rx is ok. The remote head has a minor problem with the channel rotator switch and the remote head "tune" button is inoperative, but the one on the mic is ok.

It is now in a box as my spare. :))

By your indications, the radios could be 20 years old - if not though, they are still unlikely to be 9323's. Anyway, without some proper research you could easily buy a total dud. Some people are still asking $2700 for complete 9323 systems while others sold them several years ago for $2000 ! I saw an NGT setup the other day for less than a 9323 on offer. You have to know the market to get a good buy.

That's my limit on Codan - just my observations re prices etc - I have a Barrett 950 system (bought it used a few years back) - that has been a good reliable unit for me and has roughly the same features / facilities as the Codan 9323. Barrett is often about 75% of the price of Codan, new or used.... whatever.
