well got the old trol all tuned up & a full service
over a 3 day period had to travel twice to
Wallaroo hospital & back
So set the trip meter with a full
tank & away went
refilled the
tank too the mileage & did my calculations & wow only getting 5.5 klm per liter
Does this seem about right
I have to Waeco 80 on board + my _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx & a full length roof cage
I know the trol has the aerodynamics of a brick but thought would get at least 7 per litre out of it

Warren,
That's about 18L/100km or 15.5 mpg in the old money. Sounds quite good to me.
I had a 3L Petrol GQ a while back and I was only getting 14 mpg from it. My old man had a 92 4.2 EFI Patrol and he also got about 14 mpg.
Cheers,
Jim

I'm going to try to get there but I'm as busy as a one armed paper hanger at the moment.

My mates GQ would do up to 19mpg, but no rack or extra weight and siting on 90.

Now
mine is a 350 Vortec so i reckon your not doing to bad.

I have a 94 GQ EFI - its an auto. I have been trialling during regular trips to
canberra and had some success, with:
1. Tyres at 40psi
2. Set cruise control at 1800rpm, on freeway is around the 95klm mark. Its a bit slower but:
My calcs area little rough, but I reckon Im getting 16L/100KLM
so for an extra 10 minutes travelling time its worth it. Might be worth a try
