Here is a copy of the letter sent to the Macathur Chronicle about "Hoon Tube"

To the Editor
In regards to the front page editorial on 16.10.07 (Hoon Tube) ABUG co-ordinated a cleanup day Nov 06 where local clubs and volunteers participated in a cleanup of rubbish from the area of bushland east of the township, approximatly of 30T of rubbish was removed from the area. Many of these volunteers were from responsible 4wd clubs from NSW ACT 4wd Association. Clr Jew also joined in the cleanup and said he was very grateful for the work carried out and impressed by all the volunteers’ efforts and enthusiasm.
In the article several of the statements were misleading.
The area was described as Pristine Bushland; by definition the area is not pristine. A pristine area would not have such an amount of rubbish in it and there is still more to remove yet.
Wombat Holes; this is 4wd terminology for deep or large ruts along tracks, NOT a burrow in the bush where wombats live.
Fire Trials; there are only 2 known gazetted fire trails in this bush area. Most other trails in the area would not be safely accessible within the RFS own OHS guidelines.

ABUG is currently meeting with key stakeholders to formulate a plan to co-ordinate sustainable access through the co-operation of all user groups.
We feel that your article only served to distract from our greater purpose.

They have since phoned Wayne and asked to publish his letter in the upcoming edition.

I don't think people are taking as much notice of You Tube now that John Howard has his mug shot on it.

John might be looking for a Hollywood contract?
