Hi
I have a 96 GQ patrol and recently developed a electrical problem
When i get to the ignition start position with the key I loose the following
Tail Lights
Interior Lights
Radio
Dash Lights - warning
No starter
It sometimes just goes back to normal by itself and then be fine and the patrol will start.
Glow plug relay works
Starter relay works
I have checked all connections which I feel are related to possible problem
Thanks
Lorne

Sounds to me like a worn ignition switch, thats the first thing I would check. Nav.

If it is the ignition switch that's the problem they are available on Ebay from "Roodogs4x4 spares" there's a link below to them.

I'd guess that you have a bad connection where the lead goes from the pos terminal to the fusible link box. They use 10mm spade connectors there, and they don't last forever.
