Hey all,
Looked under the ute today and once again to my dissapointment have forund another 3 cracks. Thats 5 in total.
The worst being one of the tray mounts has fallen off.
I am sure if I hadn't seen these cracks and was keeping the piece of poo for a while the tray would fall of within a year.....
Really not happy now

When flying utes land back on ground something is bound to give.

Why don't you admit that you have thrashed the Navara and it hasn't cut the mustard to your standard of thrashing.

Cheers

Willem got in a bit before me. I have a similar impression.

I have a mate with a Nissan tray that's used in a bush environment under heavy load. Apart from ongoing brake problems, he's never had a crack in the car.

Could be your driving style.

Regards

Kim

Willem,
Only once has the ute been subject too a little unfair treatment.
I have a little more respect for a vehicle that will be taking me through some of our beautiful remote places. Last I want is to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with a truck that has fallen apart.
A perfect example of this is I recorded my trip on my gps and one instance of these settings is the frenchline my average speed was 14.6 km/h
I really don't think I have given the ute a short hard life. My 03 hilux has done worse tracks and have had no problems with it.
I have just sold it but it is still in the family.
I have seen vehicles go through a hell of a lot more than what this has and are still in good nick. Also met people at Mt dare who had completed the French line in 2 days. I was strugling to get to Birdseville on the 3rd night from Dalhousie.
Really if I had of misused it then I wouldn't be so dissapointed.
Peter.

Sorry I should say Birdsville to Mt dare in 2 days. Now I would say that was trashing a vehicle.
3 full days is a reasonable amount of time. Although I would have liked maybe one more this time.

Cruiser of course.
Am thinking about ordering one in the next 6 weeks. Should have it by winter next year.
I haven't worked out my next years adventures yet but am looking at going to Bikini Atol for 2 weeks. Then some little trip in oz. Maybe the CSR?

Not sure if a man should expose his crack problem on a public forum...........
