Eric from Cape York Connections
Well after about 7 weeks I have finally got the thing going.
Recap bought the Toshiba and tried to load my old Quikbooks onto it and it wouldn't load.
After much advise on the subject from ExplorOz friends I went down the road of getting the new 2007/08 quikbooks about $400 .
Then I couldn't load it because my old package wasn't up to date with accounting or something similar.
So got a lady I know to tidy up my old books and load my new stuff and get every thing up to date that was another $300.
So its been a long drawn out process and now have to learn all the new things about my new Quik books.
All the best Eric

I had similar problems with quickbooks a few years ago. I found their annual relicensing procedures expensive and tricky and necessitated using their customer support
services which were also expensive. There was also considerable difficulty in moving previous data into new versions. I no longer have a need for a package like this and was pleased not to have the hassle of dealing with QB any longer.
