Hi Willem. You may remember meeting me at Waraweena. I had a severe limp and used crutches sometimes. I have a green and silver Hilux.
I smashed the top of my tibia April 06 riding a trail bike. Had 2 operations to get it back together. Wasn't allowed to drive for 4 months. That was hard. So dependent. Leg healed well but on bad angle. Had an arthroscopy and removal of plates and screws this May gone. Went back into hospital 1st of August to have leg broken with external frame fitted to hold it together and to wind daily to bring leg back to correct length and angle. Operation successful as leg is straight. Just have to wait and see how Knee joint holds out. It did heal well. The surgeons were pleased. Frame comes off next Tuesday.

OUCH!!! Sounds terrible. Hope everything mends well now.

Judith had a TKR on 28 August and is up and about and driving her car and busy as ever with no more pain.
