Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Dave - quick question..
are you still using that same fanbelt as originally since you mention possible issues with the main crank pulley adn lack of 'traction'...???
The darkside is helping me with the brackets :D

Hi Truckster,
Using the same fanbelt still. She sits nice and straight and is tight as all hell as
well - probable loosing a couple of HP because of that. When she is on and pumping there is no slipage either. This includes when it is nearly at full pressure of 120PSI or when the engine is at idle or 200RPM.

David

Ta dave.. so you not competing anymore?
Have seen a setup where the bloke uses a seperate belt, and just fits it up when he stops, this saves him those few HP, and seemed a good idea, still thinking about how to.. or if its worth it.

Hey Truckster,
Na - too bloody expensive and not enough time. With regards to the belt, I am only assuming that is zaps a couple of HP. When idle, the compressor pulley spins very freely so the tightness of the belt will still be there even without the compressor fitted. It is just tighter than I would normally have it.

Cheers Mick. Always happy to share info.

I had one home made on an early HJ47, still somewhere in my shed because I couldnt find a suitable place to drive/mount on a HZJ75. Any of you inventive types mounted one? It was just an old air con compressor with a home made (again) oil separator and air
tank. blew tyres 10.5x15 up a treat

M
The below link has pics of what I ended up with due to 'smacking' the ENDLESS AIR off of its mountings under the engine as supplied by ENDLESS AIR.
Works like a dream now.
Endless Air on a HJZ75
Its a 8CFM model. Originally supplied with a 10CFM however , wouldn't fit underneath without obviously risking a smack from the front diff. Changed to the 8 and it still happened.

Hello again Dave!
Sorry to stalk you but....
Re- the air-
tank... I wonder if it'd be worth using a scuba
diving
tank for the air-
tank?
I ask this because I often see scuba tanks at garage sales for about $10 - $20 each... hmmmm.
Or, if I went to a truck wreckers they have air-brake tanks, could I use one of these... I wonder which would be best?
Or... should I stop thinking!?
Cheers mate,
Thanks for your help!
Mick
