It's not looks that get you from A to B ,It's not looks that gets you over the sand dune,
I don't buy a car for looks , I wouldn't care if my Troopy was the most ugliest vehicle on the road , if it gives good service and performs then who cares.

yer, your're all ugly but I don't think the 200 is uglier than say a Nissan. I didn't buy a 100 because it's the most hansomest. I bought it for the the motor + gearbox first and foremost.
Personally i think it's a bit porky looking, and the wheels + tyres look little and unsubstantial.

Come to think of it I like my wife's arse too.

How much change from $100k would you now get for a LC200 GXL?......
Would $100k be enough?
Will the nearest competion now be $40k cheaper?......

Whatever the cost - Mr tojo will still manage to sell heaps of 'em

But look how much longer they last.

You only have to compare 2nd hand prices with the others also.

This should tell you something.

You only get what you pay for.

"You only have to compare 2nd hand prices with the others also."

2004 GUIII ST 4.2td man
new $58990
ave private sale $36300 - 39700 (61% - 67%)

2004 LC100 GXL 4.2td man
new $71500
ave private sale $40500 - 44200 (56% - 62%)

And I own neither brand of vehicle - just quoting facts.....

As for new LC200 $'s hmm, 80ish?
but hey, a lot of car for the $$'s compared to some offerings out there....

Gday Dave
Yep, just plucked 'em from there, but agree that's a pretty rough guide - they always seem low, compared to what you can get, especially up in Cairns. Guess it's all relative - both wagons seem to be fetching more $$'s than quoted, but the percentage retained is not that different between them.
Still - a shame to see the 4.2td's gone from the lineups, and left with a hi tech rice burner nissan or a thumping V8 toyota (really, one turbo would probably be sufficeint....)

cheers
Pnut
