This is more of an info session than a question. Thanks all for input regarding my tyre problem (thread 50518)
Cooper has finally come to the party and provided an offer to trade the 3 remaining good tyres, with a credit of $150 each. Thanks Cooper. Still waiting for reply from dealer where tyres purchased. Decided last week to put on Maxxis AT as replacement instead of coopers offer.($100 per tye cheaper) Bob Jane gave much better service so far.So far so good. The vehicle handles much better and I have now lost the feeling of driving on a water bed as was the case with the coops HT. The kids have made a tyre swing in the tree with the split cooper. Finally a good use for HT coops.

But is it safe?

It's not a Bridgestone you know.

Um, Maxxis is this a brand or a cooper name for a tyre. Re the CREDIT, does that mean you got the cash back??
Now is the only time you own
Decide now what you will,
Place faith not in tomorrow
For the clock may then be still

no (Maxxis are a low end tyre manufacturer/brand) and I would expect no... credit against another Cooper purchase I would think.

They are clearly not going to send you out on another set of Cooper HTs unless they are stoopid ;-)
