I have a turbo 240 which i think is just terrific .. easy to put up/down & great quality.
now comes the 'but ...". Recently i purchased the Deluxe Fly and front/side panels which i thought would be good for those longer stays in one spot.
Well the deluxe fly frame and the side/front panels must be the worst designed bits of kit i have purchased in ages. The deluxe fly frame is awkward to initially attach to the tent without falling out (they are just pins sitting in holes in the tent knuckles) & the C-clip system that attaches the walls to the frame is dreadful. The walls come off if pulled too hard (especially the vehicle access side panel which pulls on the panel due to the 2 poles/ropes used). Also the front & side panel C-clips aren't offset from each other or offset from the velcro tabs, so you cant really use all of the C-clips.
Whoever designed the tent certainly didn't hang around to design the accessories!!
So, anyone considering buying the deluxe fly & side/front panels .... DON'T !!!!
Phew .. that feels better

We also have a terrific turbo 240 tent and had considered the bigger fly. Thanks for the info. Now we won't get one.

We got the turbo plus 300 and thought about the extra fly bit but we never stay in the same place long enough and when we do its at
places that never get rained on!!!
Thanks
by the way we did have the 300 and since selling that and getting the new one they have extended the straps that the fly clips with and the strap that goes round its belly once packed up...had nothing but trouble with it last yr always coming apart.

Thanks for the advice Drew T. I have the a Turbo 240 that I am very happy with and just use a tarp for extra protection in front of the tent if needed. I also have a 120 GXL V6 auto Prado - much the same setup as you. Do you carry the tent in the Prado or on top?

Hi Mike. I carry the tent on the roofrack. Even though i know it can fit sideways in the boot, theres always too much other
camping gear to squeeze in there!!
