Does anybody have one of these - looks to suit our planned use, but wondered about ease of use, longevity, annoying "features", etc.

Thanks
Andrew.

Andrew,
That mate has one and we have the turbo 300, both of us spent 3 weeks travelling the gulf in August, Poured rain one night and I slept through it (which is unusual).
We love love ours and I believe the mate & his wife love theirs.
Very easy to put up and pull down.

Regards
Franga

Thanks Franga...

I was looking for someone with the Lite Twin 300 which is larger and of a different construction.

Have exactly what you want and they are great..they have fixed the strap length problem which our 300 had.

no annoying features...the best thing we like is that if you dont want to use that back section ( the plus bit) there are clips to clip it up and out of the way....

nothing annoying, useage is so far so good for us....they havent been out long enough to know how long they last....

Andrew
We've got the Turbo-Lite 270 and are very happy with it, this is our 2nd one as the first leaked at the seam between sides and floor, complained to our place of purchase, BCF, and they replaced it no questions asked, even Black Wolf said it shouldn't have leaked. A mate has the size smaller and on the same trip his also leaked in the same spot, he complained direct to Black Wolf in Eastern States who agreed it shouldn't have leaked, they put him onto the WA state manager who gave him some stuff to reseal the seam. It wouuls seem that they have had a problem sealing the seams between floor and sides (2 different types of material) only seems to affect Turbo Lite models, the normal Turbo tents with the heavier canvas walls don't seem to be affected

Andrew
We also have the Turbo-Lite 270. In light rain ours leaked at the top of the storage pocket and a tiny bit at 2 corners. BCF Townsville sold us some seam sealer for it that has worked ok. But our main problem with it was that the first time we pulled it down for packing using the inside pull strap I heard the stitching straining and for the remainder of the trip I pushed it down from above. Then on the last morning of the 6 week trip I used the strap to test it again and half the stitching tore through. BCF Townsville had a local upholsterer restitch it for us.
On a recent trip to the Cape I tried collapsing the frame again by pulling the strap down but it is so tight it feels like it will tear again. I'am now thinking of experimenting and try reducing the tension on the adjustment straps without loosing the rigidity of the frame.

Hmmm. Thanks Les. It is a pain you should have to buy anything else... and a pain if you had to haev it restitched ...

I wonder what Blackwolf themselves would say... and who is BCF?

Cheers
Andrew wondering if you would buy another one.
