The clutch on my 4.2 Patrol is starting to slip after 250,000 Kms has any body ever chaged the clutch them selves

i don't know how old or how big you are but they are the heaviest gearboxes of all the 4 wheel drives. unless you have all the right gear let the people who have, do it. my mates a mechanic and he gets a few every year that people have tried to do their own and cant get the box back in.( cant lift it up).

it is a job for those with all the gear
even with a hoist and gearbox hoist there still a pita.
