What are they like to deal with in 2007?

I done a search on previous posts on the topic & in summary I think the product has been good, but the service less than ideal.

So to be fair, has anyone purchased a new camper this year & how were you treated?

Thanks
Richard

Richard

Putting up with the owner of the business was a pain. From a distance the trailers appear to be ok, but I finished up walking out......could'nt take his bull tish any more!

Finished up purchasing another product from QLD.

Regards

Kim

Kim,

Perhaps you may ring the radio in the morning and nominate him as Bull Tish Artist of the week LOL.

Good luck with your projects.

Jim.

We bought our Dingo in 2000 - and yes we did have to put up with the owners waffle - he was closing down, then, still is - wah, wah, wah!! But that aside - we cannot fault the camper - we bought the basic offroad - no kitchen or anything - cost was about $4000 then, and we have had this camper everywhere - literally - its done up the centre twice, down the Oodnadatta, (our first real offroad experience) - right around the country - in some pretty horrific weather conditions, and terrain - it has been through water, mud, dust, rock, sand, up hill and down dale, all through the Channel Country, and you name a place and we have probably been there.

It is looking a bit worn now, but we have never been wet, it has never let us down, it has plenty of room, plenty of storage, the bed is fantastic (they now supply some sort of step to get up into the bed - we bought a stepladder) - we had extra walls made to use on the front awning.

One thing we did do was to buy a couple of extra "spreader poles", to put from the central peak bar to the push out bars over the bed, for when it is wet and raining - you don't get puddles over your head with this method - poles are readily available from any camping store.

So, for our money and in our opinion, the product is worth the c---p you have to put up with from the owner - though someone did tell me one of the sons is there more now - so maybe a better buying environment?

One phone call was enough for me , but that was back in 2002.

As noted above , there appears to be little wrong with the actual product and I know a couple of people with Dingo's that say the same.

Its dealing with "him" thats the problem. Apparently the Son is very good to deal with.

Be interested to know how things are in 2007.
