Storms out to the east of Melbourne today also, the west remained dry as usual, lets hope all that moisture that is building over the continent actually comes to something, could be a wet stormy few months, bluddy dry here in Vic.

After buying all the beer I'm lucky if there's anything left over for fuel so I usually camp in the backyard but we have a bluddy good time, the neighbours are never impressed with the noise and swearing though :)

How big a bon fire do you have in the back yard??

I've been to a couple that ended up with no fence left as they ran out of fire wood (pailing fence) LOL

Kev, it sounds like your swag thought you were too feral to be near.

Ray, down our way the season has been atypical to the rest of Victoria. Kept its coastal characteristics.

John, have you seen that massive infeed of moisture from Indonesia over the continent, looks like some good rain for central Oz from tomorrow and us in the south from Thursday or Friday, a real good setup and with La Nina established we should get some more good systems in coming months. Must be all that carbon saving doing the trick eh! :)

Yep just had hail down here near Wagga. One bit we measured at 4cm.

Looks like another cell forming & on the way too.

...and I just got the last hail damage to the Prado's bonnet fixed last week!

Cheers

Get yourself a couple of sheets of 20mm closed cell foam from Clark Rubber and make up a hail-proof top cover

Red Frog. I use two full-size sheets joined by velcro so they can easily be rolled up and parked in the garage. they are held on by the springy cord that you get in cargo nets, on each corner of the front and rear and these hook over the front number plate, and over the towbar - that holds the ends down and then a nylon strap goes right around the middle over the roof. I also made some short pieces of springy cord that hook over the rear vision mirrors. YMMV on length but closed cell is easily glued with contact. Most insurers don't cover hail damage - unless you ask.
You can get hail covers from places like this:
