i was perusing the pages and noted an xl spreadsheet submitted by Richard K on converting long/lat to utm

well whatdayaknow...he stumped on the first requirement

"Enter the appropriate ellipsoid etc etc etc"

way way tooooooo hard for me!
wish some people could speak..er write english

by the way, just use your GPS to do the conversion, Oziexplorer will do it for you also.

Don't know about you blokes, but if I enter Latitude And long for Kintore (walungurru) in deg min secs.s the UTM worked fine

give I another go It works I spend hours working out the formulas not.. LOL I stole it.. ;-)
