From ABC News Online Sun, 25 May 2003 6:31 AEST:
A man has broken both his legs while trying to winch a bogged four-wheel-drive out of a quarry near Ormeau, south of
Brisbane.
He was plucked out of rugged bushland by a rescue helicopter last night.
The helicopter crew had to negotiate hilly terrain to reach the 24-year-old man, who had suffered two compound fractures to his legs.
The man is now in
Brisbane's Princess
Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
Cheers,
