I dont remember changing any settings only that I put a maps on a new SD card. HAs this happened to anyone else??

Signed frustratingly DAve.

When exactly does it freeze? When you try to access a map off of the card or before?

Have you tried the original card?

Cheers

HI Richard,

Sorry, should have said that I have a map on screen and it freezes about 2-3 minutes after I start navigating.

OK so if you don't navigate does it still respond 2-3 minutes later & is it trying to change maps at the 2-3 minutes later?

Also I don't know if this is possible, but can you load 1 map into the memory of the unit & see if it plays up on that map.

I quite often have to do soft reset with my ipaq (4150) & ozi.

I'm not sure if that's what you mean when you say you restart ozi, however be aware that although a soft reset should not delete any info (unless there's an open frozen/unsaved program), it can do. Particularly if the system's had a major hissy fit.

So I'd suggest ensuring all info is saved next time you sync, then when ozi next freezes do a soft reset and start over.

I had the same problem with a particular SD card. Tomtom would freeze when planning a route if it was a long distance. Some SD cards are not as compatible as others and will cause problems. Only thing to do is try a differenent SD card. Do a Google search on SD card compatibility and you will find lots of information about the issue.

Regards,
John
