Can anyone provide me some numbers re fuel consumption on either of the new LC70 Troopie or Wagon based on there own experience and use as opposed to the advertising brochure and magazine articles numbers?
Any details would be appreciated from unloaded highway travel to travel in sand or mud fully loaded.
Any info plus any other feedback on your LC 70 experience would be greatly appreciated

Hi APN,
I have the new 76 wagon and it’s a great wagon. So far I have the following figures (only owned it for now about 3 weeks).
12.6L/100K’s driving on the Hyw / city and driving it hard.
11.6 driving it a little easier Hwy / city
15.8
camping trip weekend away towing a Trakshak camper trailer, also did fare amount of beach driving that w/end, all up did it all on one
tank full (I think it was around 480K’s)
12.2 just last week normal driving and it included a day trip up in the
Perth hills along the powerlines (low range stuff)
So all in all I’m pleased with the fuel consumption, the car also feels very solidly built. Hope the above info helps.
Cheers and all the best,
Stamps

hI APN,
I have a 70 series wagon gxl and i reckon its a great vehicle, have had it since july1 and done nearly 8000 kms
Its old and new combined of a cruiser which i feel is great.
I just filled up the
tank the other day and it took 76 lts and i had done 697 kms on the odometer, that all around town.
We did a trip from Mackay to
Cairns on 1
tank and it was about 750 kms.
I also tow a trackabout camper which weights nearly a ton fully loaded and you dont even know its there except for the hills.
I will be towing the camper down and across to fraser over the xmas break.
I had a turbo diesel 3 lt hilux with a detronic chip before and this leaves it for dead and the fuel economy is nearlt the same.
Cheers
Wayne
