Jackaroo Window Woes

LHFS electric window on Jack has appeared to come off track or something and has disappeared down the hole into the door. I assume the electrical winding mechanism has failed, does anyone have any experience of this type of thing with Jacks?

I just had to fix my daughters first car passenger electric window.

Never done one before either. I was lucky just needed to replace the switch in the end which I got off a wrecker for $25.

I did however take the inside skin off the door thinking it was a regulator problem. When the thing was fixed i watched it go up and down with the door skin off. (that is DOOR skin)

It was a pretty simple setup in the end not as scary as it seemed. I suggest you do same, maybe take RHFS off also and compare to see what has gone awry. Just take note that you need the window down to unattach it from the electric unit if need be. May simply be a retaining screw that holds the main vertical support to the door that has come loose. You got nothing to lose as you have to get someone to fix it if you cant anyway.

I also had a wrecker have a look with me at first who helped with his advice. If the motor/regulator is a problem (doesnt sound like it though) you can get it all to move by connecting the window wires to 12v power and earth. Good luck...
