vibration noise in hubs

Hi i need help with my 96 gq Patrol, when driving with hubs locked in and the gear shift in 2wd i get a loud humming noise and slight vibrations, when i take the hubs out of lock the problem goes away.
does any body no what may cause this any help will be much appreciated.

There will be something in the driveline out of balance or worn, usually the tailshaft, uni's or sliding joint would be the first suspects.
It could also be caused by driveline angles if you have changed/lifted the
suspension.

I think just about every GQ does this , its just a slight imbalance in the drive line to the front diff, it shouldnt get any worse.
