Morning All,

Heaps of things happening today around and on the Swan River today. Cox of the Swan, all different classes will sailing( racing) on the river, will be based at Perth Dingy Sailing Club, near the blue boat shed in Matilda Bay, try sailing day, if want to try sailing ( racing) held at all clubs up and down the river. And the Red bull Air race.

I am on snake watch, had the first snake of the season last night...bloody great tiger snake, while hubby plays bar keep at one the clubs.

I've come up for the Red Bull air race, will be 30 degrees in Perth today so may just hang around the motel spa instead.

Watched the 'trials' yesterday and found it a tad boring & noisy too, probably just showing my age............
Found them to be a great spectator visual thing but how many times can you watch very similar small fast plains doing exactly the same thing when there is only fractions of a second in it between them all.
Would rather watch channel 7's rerun of the V8's in Dubai last night, Holden won I believe, if it was a 'FORwarD' that would not give the same thrill.

A few callers to talkback radio this week have warned it could be a bumper year for snakes.

Lots of bush has been cleared around Yangebup and lots af reported snake catches by snake catchers.

Yes went to the air race today myself. Great weather, lot's of families, no p1ss heads. GREAT!

I watched it on telly, hubby spent day as bar keep and did not get home till 8pm....Alot people are saying that it got a bit boring, same track ( or gates ) over and over again. Noise was bad, last year someone had a wedding up a Kings Park.....it was ruined.

Had a snake scare. Watching the ducks on the pond across the road, one duck seemed to be a bit bothered round on and round in circles and what looked like a small duckling chasing it....ok I was across the road, sent kid number two over on his bike...yeap it was getting chased by a snake swimming in the water.....it isn't even hot yet.. and it was late afternoon...I hate snakes.....they always kill even if they can't eat what they kill. The one I ran over on Saturday was about 4 -5 foot long, and I really could not have avoided it, either swerve bush or hit an on coming car or run over it. Could hear my hubby's voice deep in brain somewhere yelling " Don't you dare swerve"......

Some kookaburra must have taken it, because it was not there yesterday, but it was dead...cuz I check to make sure it did not fly up under the pathy and I checked on the road on the way back and it was lying there, also had a bit of snake goo under the bumper...
