Oh yes you can!!!!!
It must have been leaking for a while...
I had to move my car off the building site out onto the dirt strip near the road. There was about 10 cars all squeezed in. After work (and a few Beers) I jumped in my car, threw it in reverse and backed out with the
wheels turned, the front wheel sank a bit and obviously jaged the hydrant in behind the corner of the bullbar (it was lower than the bonnet).
I thought it was a star picket and Ill push it out of they way until I heard a funny noise and then saw
water squirting out the side.
Just below the ground level was an old rusted thread.
It didnt take long to start opening up so I tried to straighten it up to slow the flow...bad move!!!! I was coing to put my front tyre over the pipe to slow it down a bit but the boss convinced me to disapear...lucky, they tried to fine him about $10000 because they couldnt turn the
water off for about 4 hours cause all the mains valves were stuffed!
He refused to pay because he didnt do it and know one saw who did!
Cheers
