Has anyone done a conversion of a V8 Landcruiser to gas. If so how did it go, or any problems.
Have heard gas conversions (all models) run hotter and use more gas.
Is it OK to tow with gas conversion (2.8 tonne). I still manage 22l/100km though on petrol

Hi Go-N-Gray,
I have an 05 with SVI gas. No problems at all to report. Have done just over 25,000km. No change in operating temperature under any conditions including 4WD, towing or daily suburbia. Does use about 1 ltr/100km more of gas than petrol. No noticeable difference in power.

SVI Gas? Sequential V? Injection?
Can get a kit installed with "injected gas?" for about $5K, with $3K govt rebate $2K seems a good investment, a whole lot better than buying a deisel! Better fuel consumption per $, all the power, lower service costs,and a hell of a cheaper to buy.
Oh wah, that will stir up a hornet's nest!

SVI = Sequential Vapour Injection.
I have the Parnell system. Very happy. Cost $4000 including upper cylinder lubrication kit.
