The response was deafening... not...

I'm pretty busy to put in the effort to get it off the ground, but have some more time in Dec.

Mt Dare prefer away from School Hols.
I think consensus here was during School Hols.

That's about where its at.

Cheers
Andrew.

Mt. Dare was mentioned a few month's back.

I spoke to Dave from Mt. Dare hotel at the last 4wd show in Adelaide and he didn't seem to thrilled about having the national gathering at Mt Dare!
His response was "I only heard about it a couple of weeks ago, I think they think they will be camping at my place" It was a few weeks ago and can't remember the whole conversation word for word but I got the impression that Dave doesn't have any interest.

I have never been to Mt Dare before so don't know what's there but didn't receive very friendly service while I spoke to him. Needless to say that's why I didn't hang around for too long

He wasn't particularly excited that it was going to just make things busier during the busiest part of his year - not that he was anti. Originally we had been talking about dates that weren't school hols which no doubt impressed him commercially a lot more.

You probably spoke to him not long after I did... and he was probably swallowing hard on the date change.

Mt Dare hospitality is legendary however.

That's fair enough about the date change but I wasn't really impressed with the way he spoke to me about the gathering.

One day I would like to go to Mt. Dare but he hasn't given me a very welcoming start.

I to have heard about the Mt Dare hospitality being legendary and I'm sure it is just that (legendary).
