I know there is a trader section on this site which I am looking at, but I am also after other advice. We are based in Sth East Melb and are about to sell our 99 Dual Cab Hilux with low km's and various bits and pieces. Nothing wrong with it, other half is getting a company vehicle.
My question, we have never sold a 4WD before so apart from the obvious drive.com.au and carsales.com.au, could somebody please recommend any good
places to advertise or display the car?
Thanks in advance.

I am going to advertise my Triton on here, Carsales and possibly the 4WD Action site.
If I get desperate to sell it I may even put it on E Bay.
Cheers Kev

We have gone with Ebay as
well as here and carsales but ebay has been the one offering the most interest....ebay is only costing a few bucks for 10 days so will keep going for a while...

Is the Hilux a diesel or petrol motor? And what kind of dollars are you looking at.

1999. Petrol. 133,000km. Manual. Roof Racks, tow bar. ARB canopy. CD player. Slight ding in front passenger panel after a reversing error (due to female/male direction instructions and an invisible tree) which can be fixed before sale if required. Very open about $$. Was thinking around $17k but not sure if this is realistic or not.

I'm in the same boat with my 2000 Prado - I've tried carsales.com.au but had no interest - it's in the trading post this week so maybe that will provide some more bites. I also came across this site:
http://www.carbroker.com.au/sell-car-at-best-price.php I'll try it when all else fails as I need to sell soon (bought a new one!).
Cheers
