Once my bullbar is straightened :) I am going on a 6 week adventure to
Ningaloo Reef taking as many interesting
routes as possible there and back.
I'll be going up
the Tanami Track and would like some sort of emergency coms for that part of the trip. I have been told that some
places hire out this equioment in "relays" up and down the track; ie, I hire it from Alice to Hall's
Creek and then someone else hires it back to Alice.
Can anyone give me some further info on this and/or other areas that this may happen?
Thanks!
Tracy

I would just hire a sat phone for the 6 weeks. HF will cost to much and I think is a overkill if you only doing a 6 week trip....however if you are planning more trips then pay the money and get a HF......If you want you can take a EPIRB for extra security but they are only meant to be used in life or death situations not to get help to fix the engine or help with a tyre repair
