Timber,

At the end of October our 4wd club did its water crossing training there. Water was up to top of wheels in places, though probably possible to pick a shallower track. Water blind might be required as there has been rain since then.

Did it Tuesday mate (Cup Day) - just above hub height - we were on bikes and only just got our toes damp ;-)

The crossing was 30cm deep on Oct 2nd with a steepish climb out. One vehicle in the group took 3 attempts. Then the fun started as the Merricumbene trail is pretty steep in places. We dawdled a bit with stops but it took 4 hours to go 40km until we reached the 2WD road at Mt Bendethera trig. Good luck and take it easy. Cheers, warrie
