I was going to ask for advice on removing the lock nut on the spare wheel of the jack as I was sure
mine was faultly. Have spent 2 hours trying to remove it , 24 year old son comes home and gets it off in a couple of mins. Must be having a senior day lol
Cheers Pete

Gee you're not wrong. How come you managed to put the lock nut on the spare wheel of the jack. Didn't know that jacks had spare
wheels. Or am I missing something?

If you are talking Jack as in Jackaroo .......feel no guilt - its a really stupid design .... had to make a little bit of wire to help me get
mine off....... your son was just lucky .... its not his car...... he is no solution .... you should sue someone !

I think you need to be a safe cracker to get it off. My hands are to big and clumsy. Read the instructions in the vehicle manual and still no joy, but he figured out the little trick the smart arse. Lucky he figered it out though and lucky I was home in the drive way and not stuck out in the scrub saomewhere in the dark.

Pajero spare wheel lock is a bit the same.
Takes a bit of fiddling to get off once it is a bit old.
I leave it off now.

It's easy to see how it works once it is off. When I eventually got
mine off, I was able to replace and remove it with the greatest of ease. Beauty, I've got this licked.....
Trouble is, by the time I needed to get it off again, I'd forgotten Grrr.
I think it's turn the key one eighth to the left, and remove easily.

My trouble is my fat fingers have trouble geting hold of the barrel. Dave worked out when you feel some resistance from the key pull the barrel out.

Now I am going to scream. My 12 year old can also get it off. Wife had no hope of getting it off either. Stupid design.

I have the same problem with the fuel cap on our Jack. Twice now (once in pouring rain) I have been stuck at the diesel bowser trying to get the @#$%&*! petrol cap off. Lost original cap at some far away fuel stop and after buying a replacement, I can't fill the
tank any more. After practicing at home a few times to get the 'nack' of it, as soon as I am at the bowser, it refuses to work for me! Sheesh!
Damn thing should be called a Muleroo!

Definite signs of confusion here -
1) Stuck at diesel bowser trying to get petrol cap off - This was the Jack trying to tell you not to put the wrong fuel in....?????
2) Blaming the poor car for not behaving with a non-genuine part.....
Hehe, you must be a blonde ????
