hi, i'm about to put a new clutch in my nh pajero,just wondering if anyone else has removed a gearbox from a nh and is it a big job or an easy job? thanks steve

i did one last week for a customer.
very easy on a hoist dont know about on the ground.
it also might pay to pull the bell housing of and replace the seal at the front of the gearbox.
also if its a v6 theres a cpl of o rings on the back of the heads behind a plate held on with a cpl of 8mm bolts they have a habbit of leaking much easier to replace with the box out and have a good look at the rear main while the flywheel is getting machined.
apart from that its easy.

box is nearly ready to come out do i have to take the gear sticks out or can i leave them in?

yes 4 bolts for gear stick and i think its3 for transfer lever and use a bit of silastic when you put them back on to seal them or they will leak oil
