Hi All
I was looking for a copy of the Australian Basemap for an Explorist 600. The Russian site file server is dead & no-one is seeding the torrrent version. Can anyone email me a copy please?

I think you have to buy it. Magellan locked down the base maps in the explorist series. It is about $350 from memory. This was to stop people buying the GPS in the US and copying the base map over.

I may stand corrected but I think you are screwed.

Thanks for the reply. The map is a hidden file in the GPS file directory and can be accessed by windows. You just need the right file to over write the USA one. So i have been told. I have a copy now and will give it a go when my GPS arrives.

I'm buying a US version and wish to swap the basemap. At the moment they are throwing out the Explorist series in the USA ready for the new Triton series. I just couldn't resist the price.
