Thanks everyone. We went yesterday to the local 4wd centre. They say to wheel balance all four tyres so we get that done today they said unlikely to be anything else as the vibration is at all speeds. Mitsubishi said the same but wanted to earn a lot more money!!!! Nobody knew anything about the offset inserts and we were told that static balancing only balances the outside of the wheel. We live approx 180k's from Adelaide on the Yorke Peninsula so if anybody can recommend who would be the best people to see it would be appreciated. That is of course if the problem is not fixed today. Will let you know the outcome.
Fingers crossed.

G'day Fran
Have left a message for the fellow who told me about the way he overcame the same problem with his Challenger. He should ring me tonight. Will post more details then. I think he had it done at Goodyear Tyres.

G'day Fran
For some reason I couldn't find this thread when I tried to reply, so started a new one , Challenger Steering Vibration. Have a read of that, but the inserts were actually called offset camber bolts.
