Rodeo 1
Over 80% of the people that go away with GDT are families with children.
School holidays there are more kids than adults. The kids get along with each other and have a lot of fun.
There is an article overview on this site that will give you an idea what a tag-a-long can do for you.

My wife and I have used these two companys and find them great. Misty is run by Ken & Olga also great people.
http://www.mistymtns4wdtours.com.au/ The other is
http://www.getabout.com.au/default.asp run by John & Julie also great fun and company. Misty is located in the mountains and getabout at Prospect. I believe now getabout does there bookings via NRMA but the tours still done by John and Julie and some other staff. Not sure where your located but these are just two we have used and been very happy with there service and knowledge. Regards Steve M

The ExplorOz Gatherings are very family orientated, the one at
the Pyrenees had a heap of kids that had a ball playing with each other and plenty of adult supervision.
I might add that I had 2 kids that attended (3.5 and 1 year olds) and the eldest is already wanting to go again.
Cheers Kev

Rodeo 1 what State are you in? I've been on 5 here in WA and plan to do more. Every trip there has always been families and I'm amazed how
well the kids get on with every one and that things get tempered to suit their
young delicate ears and campfire activities get modified to cater for them as
well.

Howdy, Kids make a tagalongs more interesting as they can learn heaps about the out doors and how to really drive there parent batty. I run a businees call Follow Me 4WD which loves having kids on our tour as our ratbags can play with them, a real communal enviroment. You can ask me any questions buy going to my web site www.followme4wd.com.au as i have many friends throughout Australia in the same industry who can help.

Hello Rodeo,
Me and my family have done two tag-a-longs with Follow Me 4wd in South Oz, one to The
Border Track and the other to
Beachport in the sout east. Both were sand driving and you quickly learn how to tackle the
sand dunes with confidence.
Both trips had three families all with the same aged kids, under 5.
The other travellers varied up to 50 or 60 years old and travelling with their 20 something kids.
We now have great friendships with Ricky (Tour Operator) and his family as
well as another family that did both tours with us. We regularly catch up now.
We are going on another tour with Ricky and the family to the Mighty High Country in Victoria in January which will be great to see how my petrol/gas Cruiser goes up against his turbo diesel/gas...... Tractor. ;-)
Cheers Chard.
