We would be grateful of any feedback on Rancho shock absorbers for our 100Series L/C. Price is quite reasonable but haven't heard much about them. Thanks in advance.

I run them and they have been for around 3 years and find them very good. Some might say they are a but soft but I don't mind. I will get them again

Hi Hayjude,
I ran them on my 100 series for about 3 years and was no entirely happy they seem to fade quickly when put under stress. The adjustment on one of the shocks also seized. I went for OME nitro's and have been more than happy.
Cheers

I don't believe the shocks are any better/worse than units of a similar price. However! I do believe emphatically that the pretty red bushes are crap - they squash and wear in no time flat.
The "fitting kits" supplied with the shocks are substandard.

Hayjude,
Just been through a similar exercise, one of my OME's busted, I didn't really fancy paying what I regarded as an exorbitant price. I went to EFS bought them off the net. Got excellent service, delivered to the door as promised on time.
I've just done 4000 klm trip through some pretty corrugated tracks, ran like a dream and didn't get as hot as the OME shox doing a similar work out. Very impressed and a longer warranty, gotta be good.

Yeah I run them on the Explorer, RS9000's rear and 5000's on the front and find them
miles ahead of the OEM stuff, thou being leaf and torsion bars it's probably a little easer on shocks than a Coil sprung Cruiser would be.
Cheers.

Thanks for the replies. It will give us something to think about. Don't really need them yet but getting organised early for our trip to the
Kimberley next year. Once again thanks for taking the time to reply.

Hows it going ,
You should do a search on this site about these shocks , not everyone is that happy.
Didnt have the best run myself , they were stuffed after running fully loaded around OZ , possibly small oil volume and incorrect valving to blame . Seem to handle on smaller / lighter vehicles OK .
I am currently running Koni's , cost a bit more but are rebuildable.
Hope this helps you out,
Glenn.
