My microphone lead for my CODAN 9323 is broken.
A checked the price. The lead plus the plug is about $140.
Anyone knows where to get cheaper spare parts for Codan 9323?

Guy
I had to replace
mine as
well. It was also $140.
I also had the 'insert' go in the microphone on a trip, and had to replace that ($25).
Hence I think the mic/lead is the most vulnerable item about the 9323. So IMHO, like me, I think you should look for a spare mic and lead. Now I always carry 2.
New they cost around $300. Not sure if Codan supply it but perhaps check out Jenal if you want new
Jenal.
On ebay they go for around $150 second hand. Few come up last 6 months though so could be worth more now.
good luck JD

Aboout 3 years ago I replaced 2 of my microphone lead due to the outer sheath of the lead perishing. What I done was found that the lead had the same amount of cores as some types of UHF microphone leads. From memory I think they are the ones with call buttons on the top. Doesn't really matter what brand.
I bought the microphones from a radio repair
shop in
Katherine N.T. I think they were about $30.00 each. I then cut the ends off the UHF leads and used that lead for the Codan leads. It is a rather fiddly job to do, but if you are handy with a soldering iron is quite easy. The length of the 2 leads is almost identical.
Just draw a picture of the original Codan wiring and make sure it ends up the same.
