Hi Tony C
You should ring the
Nelson Victoria Parks booking office on 0887384051 get hold of a pamphlet called "
Glenelg River Canoeing and fishing Guide" (I think). The map included on the pamphlet has all the river
camping sites and facilities marked on it. You will also need to book your
camp-site as the river is often quite busy, the sooner you book the more likely it is that you will get a good site. The lady that does the booking is very helpful and will assist you in choosing the best site for your purpose. The
Nelson Ranger's number is 0887384500 if you can't get on to the booking office.

Thanks Doug,
I will try the booking office.I have a map of the area and thought
Wilson Hall on the North side or Pritchards on the South side might be ok.I didnt know you had to book a site.
Cheers

Been there – it is very nice spot. I do not believe that there will be no space next week; long weekends and school holidays is a different story, however. But I support Doug and suggest to book in advance, so you have more chances to secure good spot close to ramp. As for maps you can start here
