There appears to be precious little information regarding fuel prices along the Great Northern Highway.
We are travelling to
Cape Leveque on 5/6.
The only fuel prices available, at reasonable intervals, are
Meekatharra and
Broome.
There is nothing available for
Paynes Find,
Newman,
Nullagine,
Marble Bar or Sandfire.
I only picked on these
places as they are at our usual fuel stops going North.
It would have been good to have these prices for budget purposes.
Are you aware of any reason why these
places do not want to advertise their prices?
If not, I would be happy to approach service stations at the above mentioned
places
as we pass through and give them your internet address to register.
I do not want to be abused if there has been a problem in the past and is a lost course
Cheers

Port hedland at the moment is the best it's been for a couple of years at 99c/l for Diesel, couldn't comment on the petrol.

Try www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au and go into Advanced Search, and select what ever your looking for.

Guys,
We have been talking to fuel watch and they have been keen for us to extract there pricing and publish it on ExplorOz. Only problem is that ther is no commercial gain in do this for us at this stage. This is not to say that we only do things for comercial gain it is just that we have so many jobs on the go we need to set priorities and as you must understand items that do not pay are at the end.
George there is no reason that these locations are not in the database other than the fact that no one enters the data into the site. The fuel prices and UH repeaters sections are open to user submission. This means that we are very very happy for the information to appear and be maintained as long as we do not have to do it all the time. Having said this the Shell pricing is extracted from the Shell website every day this is why Shell is listed and updated. This was setup very early in our site development and just sits out there are runs every day (thanks to Member-Nigel who wrote it and runs it on one of his servers every day).
Please feel free to tell these operators to add their pricing and whilst you are at it tell them to list in the Business Search under the fuel category for Free (or paid of course).Regards

Pardoo & Sandfire are generally about 10 cents dearer than
Port Hedland as a rule of thumb
