Hi Guys,
My usual trailer hire bloke has no motorbike trailer for me this weekend. I am need to fit two trailbikes, XR250 and TTR125. If I hire a 6x4, do you think i can get the two on there?

I't be good if the front folded down then you could drop it down on a 45 deg angle and rope the bikes. Theres a good chance you'll be able to close the tailgate. Just try and keep the front wheel from drifting whilst travelling.

Will the 2 bikes fit side by side you think? And folding the front is not a bad idea.. but if the trailer doesnt have chains I dont know how the keep it up at 45 deg.

I reckon you'd be able to fit 2 side by side except for footpegs and handlebars. Just tie one down a bit lower. We travelled to the blue light ride with 3 bikes in a 6x4 but it had a drop in frame for the front allowing the middle bike to sit forward of the other 2. Your biggest dilemna would be how you secure the load. Unless you could get some purlin or screw some timber together and make some locating points for the front wheel. A pretty cheap option!

Gday,
You might just squeeze them in if you take the tail
gate off.

Two bikes will fit easily in a 6x4 leave the front up and the rear down, turn each front wheel into a front corner and tie them down diagonally across the trailer and they wont shift sideways, put the bikes in gear and tie the rear
wheels across the trailer as a precaution, you might need to okky strap the rear tailgate up to stop it rattling, Rhys.

I used to carry my XL250 in a 6x4 and it would only fit on a diagonal. That is also the reason the trailer I just finished is a 7x4.
You might be able to make it work, It might also be a bit of a squeeze.
