Jimbo Vic
I bought an 8 amp switchmode power supply from Supercheap for $70 over two years ago to run my 80L Waeco.
It has run almost constantly during this period. It is much smaller than a conventional transformer unit.
I can't speak highly enough of it. Great quality and great price.
Jim.

Gidday Jimbo,
Looked at one of these a few months ago but if and ah'd mainly because of the beating SC seemed to cop on this site.
You can see and feel tool quality as soon as you pick it up but gadgets of this nature are an unknown quantity.
Should have grabbed it at the time.
Cheers.....Lionel.

Lionel,
Supercheap offers some brilliant value products. Some of them are junk, but in the main they are outstanding value.
I run a manufacturing business and bought a set of their "premium" spanners and sockets. The salesman told me they were the equivalent of Kinchrome at half the price. They get flogged to death and are still like new.
My $110,000 cutting machine is fed air by a S/C belt driven compressor bought for the measly some of $279, it is still going strong.
I bought some of their cheap range of spanners as extras and stripped one the nfirst time I used it.
The el cheapo Staple gun I have from them has been ponded to death and it still works like new
On the whole, I'm happy to buy from them.
Jim.

Jimbo
I got a small set of HSV Sockets , very nice quality , probably Tiawanese and thats not China , and I understand China would have top quality products too, chinese mechanics wouldn't be using the cheap tools

Hi Jimbo
There newer powertech range of stuff isn't to bad , important thing I feel is to check it out carefully by using it after purchase and be prepared to take it back.
I often go
camping in the city (melb) whereby I drive 1km to motocross track and run fridge and compressors etc for people all day and battery takes a beating so I run one of those things direct across the battery for a couple of hours (timeclock) before heading off.
Works
well
