Chambers Pillar Feedback

The camp area at Chambers Pillar is rather small. Only room for about a dozen vehicles and their camp space. Please don't spread out and hog more ground then you actually need.
Good toilets at camp area.

Hi Kiwi Kia,

You are right about the lack of camping space at Chambers but if everyone does the right thing you manage to fit. When we were there at the end of August only one toilet was open - but seemed to be enough for the 15 odd vehicles there.

Sunset was terrific - also there for the lunar eclipse. Pity about the flies.

Cheers,

Bob

Loved it there,

Pity about the size of the campground, should be doubled.

Would have loved to seen a few more sunsets/sunrises

But got a couple of gr8 pics

Cheers

Bucky

Hi Bob, I was also there the night of the eclipse. We had to park on the roadway at the entrance to the camp area in our hi-top Troopy.

There is only one place to camp at Chambers Pillar, That is on top of the hill you have to get over 15 ks before you get to the Pillar.

We camped up there for the night, what a sunset and it was a starry night, we also watched the comet in late Jan this year.

Cheers Steve.

Hi Steve, Just incase some other people get the wrong idea - I think you mean to say that it is a good place to camp - not the ONLY place to camp as there is a nice but small camp area at the pillar.

Yeah good point, but let me change one thing, replace the word good with great.

Cheers Steve.

Steve I had not thought of camping up there but the view is great so I reckon I will do that when I return next year.

I have a Troopy camper so I don't have to worry about tent pegs in the rock :-))
