Just a few running repairs to do and we will be going back to the Pyrenees, probably next week to make sure we are there for the next gathering.

What a great trip. Thanks to all of the organisers and also to everybody else who went for making it such a great gathering.
Our first time at an EO gathering and certainly won't be the last.

And the Pyrenees. Hell, I could spend a week or two there without much trouble.
Repairs.
My missus reshaped the ohmygod handle a bit and tore off a lot of the upholstery off the edges of her seat. I said 'whats the problem' , she said, 'I can't see'.
Why not I said .
I have got my eyes shut.

And I reshaped a mudflap a bit.

We just arrived home tonight after spending time in Maryborough, Bendigo, Swan Hill and Mildura.
All you mob who couldnt get there, try real hard to get to the next one.
For those of you who missed out, here are a couple of photos.
Maybe more to come.

Dave

Gidday Dave,

When my missus said she couldn't see where we were going I just reply thats OK I can't either.... This usually quietens her down.

It's different coming down that track on your nose Kev, I reckon Nora would be pushing the bar back into the dash again.. Eric told me he went to the right of the tree downwards and loved it.

I remember the first time I did it Glenn actually had to lift a branch off at that tree to get past. Stopping on the way down the handbrake held allright on the 80. I was still up the hill, unaware ;-0)))))

John,

We went down it and wondered what Lyn's problem was, I thought there were some others that were worse with the decents. We have it on video I will down load and post it later. We went to the left of the tree as the Triton didn't have enough clearance to go to the right. The Cruiser should do it easily.

Kev, was also good to catch up with you and your family. Hope your back is OK after the long trip in the chair.
I thought the captions would have come up on the photos, but you are right, everybody is inspecting the FF Track and shaking their heads and pointing this way and that.
Unfortunately for me, the shutter on the camera wasn't fast enough for me to catch Twinkles blasting up the hill, and I didn't get Nick R either!
Then Willem just cruised up there.
I would have loved to have more time around the campfire, there were quite a few I didn't get a chance to have much of a chat to.
Then there was the wineries to check out too.
What a great weekend. Thanks again John R and all the other organisers.
Bet the caravanners didn't enjoy themselves as much as we did.
I mean how exciting is a game of cards.

Think the ladies played yahtzee all the time in the shelter Dave.

It is on hills like that one that the larger oversize tyres on the Nissan overgear slightly so I need to keep the engine revving up a bit to achieve the torque to overcome the tyre and it's gearing and the wight up the hill.

Kev, I think a bit of army experience, goes quite a way in being confident in your vehicle's abilities.

I am trying to upload us going down that track, You can really hear the standard suspension working overtime. You don't notice it when driving LOL

Those tracks would be great fun in a Unimog ;))

Oi Kev

my problem was...first time descent on a 4wd track..al sitting beside me telling me what to do...I could go on..hahaha...track was a bit different 2 years ago....and I don't like going down hill...

Now after going on a few more tracks, that first real descent we did on saturday is more challenging...as I spent most of the timewith my eyes closed...though, I'm not a very good passenger and would rather drive....

Lyn

PS the weather here in Perth is lovely....catch up when I get home on Monday...

Dave, glad you and Nora got home safe, that is what an organiser always dreads. Great to meet you two and on champagne tracks too.

That pic of Willem, if you go back into photobucket and adjust the size along the top to 800x600 as it is an option there, it will fit in. The lower pic shows a few looking as to whether they will do it. You must have had the camera on an angle as it looks steeper from front on mate. Actually the trees aren't vertical, if you look at the screen to tilt them to vertical, you will see it steeper. LOL

Probably should have let it at 640x480

If you go to the picture, and click edit, then resize to 640x480
