Rob,
I believe that there are fish up there.
I will be there this Sunday and when I get back from that area next week I will let you know.

Have heard rumours in the past of individuals stocking the lake & have seen lots of people fishing there but in 28 years have never seen a single fish caught. The lake is fairly shallow, very open and often freezes over in winter so may not suit them. Was there last weekend cleaning up the hut and making a few repairs.
Camp area has been decimated by the fires but the
toilet has been rebuilt and a good flow of
water is going over the falls.
Cheers Craig.............

I live in the area and remember reading in the local paper a few years ago that the department of enviroment etc etc was restocking the lake. Some idiots about 20 years ago let off dynamite or something in the lake and killed off all the fish, so of course the gvt department waited 15 years or so before restocking efforts were made.
There should be decent fish there now.
It is a beautiful peaceful spot to visit even if you don't catch anything. The regeneration of spirit is worth the trip.
