Mapping Software

G'Day.

If I purchase the mapping software and digital maps from Exploreoz, can I load it to my PC to get experience in using it and later when I purchase an appropriate Laptop to take with me, can I then reload the software and maps to my laptop or do I need to buy another set?

Also will the Software run under Vista?

In other words is the Software computer specific.

GDay Mr1927 I can only answer one of your questions and thats the first one - I have Oziexplore and the maps on both my Laptop and my Desktop, I only bought the one parcel of software.

yes you can upload it all to your laptop , and yes it will run under vista

I think you will find that the license is good for 2 pooters.
Just copy the maps/ Tracks/ and waypoints to the new pooter but be carefull with Vista . Create a folders viz. data,points of interest and maps in public in vista. Then Set up Ozie to look in these folders as per instructions.
I printed the instructions off the site and followed them to the letter and have had no trouble with vista.
On anything else just load it and play.

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Hello - looks like you can run it on any number of computers - from website...

"License Conditions
A Registered or Purchased copy of OziExplorer may either be used by a single person who uses the software personally on one or more computers, or installed on a single workstation used nonsimultaneously by multiple people, but not both. This is not a concurrent use license.

You may access the software through a network, provided that you have Registered or Purchased an individual copy for each workstation that will access OziExplorer through the network regardless of whether they use OziExplorer at different times or concurrently. "

No mention of "Pooters" though - everyone has one (even my dog has one), and they serve a purpose, but trying to run software out of it is probably asking for trouble:)

Exploroz is this website which sells, amongst other things, digital mapsets and associated software......Oziexplorer is one of the many mapping programs available. Which one are you talking about before we go too far?

Whilst i would summise like most others that we are talking about Oziexplorer, it might pay to confirm this first.....

Oziexplorer is the software and Raster maps are the ones.

I hope this does not complicate matters.

It seems to me that these pair is the most common.

It can be confusing for newbies etc, so a simple check does no harm. Just to add, you can buy Oziexplorer and decent digital mapsets from the Exploroz shop. ;-)
