Sounds as if the gas may have leaked. I suggest you don't run it further until you have it checked out.

Mate,
Take the cover off and look for any oil leaks. If you see one Mikes spot on. What voltage are you running it on? Volt drop will allow the fridge to run though no cooling, therefore try it on 240v before you go too far. If it cools on 240v check the battery.
Cheers

The Engel will default switch to 240 volt if both the 12 and 240 are plugged in their respective sockets and switched on at the same time.
Thats the ways its designed.
If your really worried just pull the 12 volt plug and use the 240 only.
But as Blue says test it on the 240 before going any further.

My older 29l was still running but was hot inside one day and I thought it was stuffed. Turned out it was the battery that was stuffed and down to 10.5 volts. Worked fine on 240 volts.

Not sure what ya mean about the Landcruiser,
Laura
Greendog, yep I think that the 12volt thermostat may be have a problem as I have 'Trouble shooted...Trouble shot???' all the relevant stuff in the fridges manual. Next time I get to the small Big Smoke(
Port Pirie) I will talk to the reseller and see where we go from there.

Greendog,
There is only one thermostat and compressor in the fridge. Glad to hear it was only the battery.
Cheers
