Does any one know what they do to the rodeo fuel pump to give the it more power
the plate on top of the pump has a diaphram under it and if you stick a nut on top of it gives the engine heaps more power but black smoke (fuel) to.
another guy said he wound his down ?I dont see an adjustment (maybe a differnt year modle .there is a ratchet looking thing under the diaphram but dont want to move that with out knowing what it is for, I have been told the diaphram is for emmision control.

If I am guessing correctly you are talking about a turbo diesel rodeo. The device is an aneroid that operates according to boost pressure from the inlet manifold. The higher the boost pressure the more fuel the injector pump can deliver. The best bet would be to leave the @%cking thing alone. If you want more performance from your pump pull it off and take it to a diesel fuel injector specilist and get them to recalibrate it on a test bench.

fair enough, it could be a number of things causing it from fuel line restrictions to timing, incorrect filters or it might just be a monday car built when no-one really wanted to be at work.there's no substitute for cubic inches.
