Hi, I'm rebuilding an old landrover as an off-road toy. I have some discovery 16x7 rims for it, and want to fit bigger tyres to suit the suspension lift. I'm looking at 33 or 35 inch tyres, but I'm having trouble finding any for 16 inch rims (15's are easy to find)except for 8.25x16 crossplies. Anyone got any ideas other than Simex (at $425 each a bit too rich for my taste!!) Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers, Alex.

Alex,

Most 16" tyres are expensive, I know you said you didn't want simex's but i use the jungle trekker 1's ( originals) and can get them for about $230 ea, or theres the silverstones mt117's (i think) for a little bit less. both are 280/85 16's or about 34.7" tall. Or these the 255/85R16's bfg muds @ 33.5" or maybe some 9.0 r16 @ about the same height.

Contact Chriss hummer from Dynamic 4wd on 03 97534005 or if your in qld ( like me) cal Dog tyred on 07 38058100. check out http://www.dogtyred.com.au/Extreme_4WD_Tyres/extreme_4wd_tyres.html or http://www.silverstone.com.my/
