While visiting the NSW central coast last week some dirty dog broke into my cruiser and stole my Garmin 2610 Street Pilot while the car was parked in a secure car
park. I have it noted on my insurance and have been looking at the various models now available, all much cheaper than the $1800 that I paid for the original. My question, which model should I go for, Doug guided me to the 250W for my grandaughter but obviously the more expensive units offer more, which one should I go for?.
Cheers for now, Nev.

Bad luck about the loss but really ....it was getting a bit outdated, bloody Garmins never give up,
OK so you could spend another $1800 on a
Garmin StreetPilot 7200 or $1720 on a
Garmin GPSMAP 276C but I reackon the one that will suit you and serve you
well will be this
Garmin Nuvi 660 read the specs for this and you will be hooked.

Kev,
Living where he is, I reckon a rename to Musty is on the cards.
As for the Tiny Tots - Dusty is now the Big f'man.
Must agree though, it's a lovely area.
Jeff.

A big F'man,
no wonder Doug retired, Musty would be raking it in, although if he keeps going the courts will take all his pay for child support payments LOL

I've just recently bought a Garmin 7200 Street Pilot - these are fantastic - have a large 7 inch screen.
They retail for about $1800 here in oz, but i bought one from the state on ebay - $699US - bought it right when the aussie $ was up so cost me around $725 delivered to aust. Then bout the Australian street maps + plus the full Oztopo 4wd and contour map set for oz - this way it works off road as
well. Bought them from a local oz store.
All up cost me about $1200 AU - lot cheaper than the retail here in oz.
Plus i bought a RAM mount and external GPS antenna.
I have a few pics of the install below ...

Very happy with the unit and highly recommend them (I upgraded from a Navman)
Hope this helps.....

Thanks again for the advice, I have been talking to GPSOZ and find that there is a new Garmin Nuvi 760 about to be released, sounds good so I will wait till it arrives.
Thanks again, Cheers, Nev.
