Just looking for suggestions on how to store my roof top tent (ARB Simpson 2) when not in use...
I was thinking of wrapping it in gladwrap (to keep the creepy crawlies out mainly) and putting it in the shed on top of an old rug so it doesn't get damaged.
any other suggestions?
cheers,
Jason.

Your cover that was supplied with it should be sufficient.
Install 4 hooks in your carport/garage above where you normally
park. Attach a pulley to each (2 sheave ones on one side) and construct some ropes to lift the roof top unit above your vehicle. You don't have to make room for it any where else. (The 2 sheave pulleys on one side are so you can run the rope across from the other side and one person can lift both sides together.)

What PeterD said, although I used ratchet straps instead of pulleys and ropes. I have seen a small boat winch used very effectively as
well, although overkill it worked great.
I've just used the std cover, and we are in heat/mould/creepy crawley territory here and have had no problems. Cold and damp may be a different matter.

I just use a boat winch through a pulley on the wall with a rope to each corner via another little pulley on the trusses above the Shippshape. One person can lift it on and off with ease. It just has the standard tonneau on it and the ladder and loadrails can be stored on top of it.

I don't have the luxury of being able to hook it up on a roof. My
dingo doza has a little weight in it as
well so once I get it down I have dedicated a cheap supercheap trolley with a little bit of foam on the bottom and tie it on and push it up against a wall in the shed. I would be hesitant in wrapping it up just in case there is a little moisture in the mattress from sweating etc may promote mould if there is no way for it to breath at all. Another thing I do which I also do with my WAECO before putting it away is to spray a squirt of Glenn 20 or similar inside to also help reduce any microbial growth.

Hi Jason
I just pick it up with my forklift and put it in the racking, easy as. I have a factory full of machines and gadgets, but I think the forklift is just best toy and I even have a licence for it.
Have fun
